Dufur Historical Society & Living History Museum, Inc.

Our mission is to preserve information on life in Wasco county, at the turn of the 20th century through the operation of a living history museum, trading post and threshing bee event.

Take a step back in time and experience a slice of country life that is fading quickly. Dufur, a tiny town perched on the edge of the Columbia River Gorge, is a center of dryland wheat farming that began just after settlers arrived on the Oregon Trail, 175 years ago.

Visit the Living History Museum to check out old tools, information on living in the pioneer time, and enjoy Dufur.
