However, the Port Commission recently voted to explore development possibilities for this amazing area. There are many possible uses including: public beaches, a small boat marina, open and natural spaces, sailing center, picnic areas, a natural amphitheater, campsites, restrooms, a boat launch, a kiteboarding launch area, and others. As the process proceeds the Port will be looking for citizen involvement.
This waterfront has the potential to be a multi-faceted recreation area, an economic engine for the Port, and a natural haven for the residents of Cascade Locks.
